I recorded this pretty quickly on the heels of "Benji...and then some." I had a lot of new material and wanted to do something a bit more professional (recording-wise). The title reflected my evolution as a pianist and composer and the flow of the songs goes accordingly. The second half of the album is on the whole a lot stronger than the first half I think. And yes, my hair really was long and curly - no digital embellishments there!
